Sweet Madlyn Turns 70!

We are quite blessed to have added more Indiana family members to our Ohio family over the last decade!  In 2003, both my brother and I found spouses who were from Indiana.  His wife, Amy, has parents and a brother who live in Bedford, Indiana.  During the last 10 years, on many holidays, Tony and Amy will be driving west on I-70 at the same time that Paul and I are driving east on I-70.  And sometimes our house in Carmel is the meeting point between Bedford and Bethel Township.

So Katie is blessed to have grandparents, not only in Ohio, but also adopted her cousin's grandparents in Indiana as well.  Amy's parents, Frank and Madlyn, are known to Katie and her cousins as Mo and Po.  They have become part of our family, so it is only natural that the Prides would have traveled to Bedford to celebrate Mo's 70th birthday with her.

And of course, there was plenty of cake.............which is good, because we had quite a turnout despite the cold weather for Madlyn's birthday celebration.
