Katie recently had a play date with her friend, Marianne. Which morphed into a photography play date for Christy and I.........The girls were most accommodating!
Marianne brought two kimonos with her, one for each of them to wear. Katie loved it.
They were very patient, as Christy and I tried different ideas for the photo shoot.............
And the girls were allowed their own inputs and ideas, too. Like which vintage hat and costume jewelry to wear...........or scarves.
Katie really, really looks good in purple, but is morally opposed to pink and purple. Too little girl-princess-ballet-tutu-barbie-baby doll-ish for her sophisticated interests. She much prefers bright orange. It's been her favorite color since she was little. But this day, she let me dress her in purple. My favorite color since I was little. Or at least old enough to find out that Donny Osmond liked purple, too.
Marianne liked the vintage hat collection.
She is really rocking the Victorian steampunk look.
The kimono that Marianne brought for Katie to wear was pink! Purple AND pink in the same day! That girl knows how to compromise............
Though not always when to look at the photographer..............
We all had a fun day. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so that outdoor photo shoots will be possible again. Ah spring.............
