This year we took Mackenzie with us. She and Katie had ALOT of fun.
The boys had a good time as well.
The highlight of the trip, according to all the kids, was an afternoon on Table Rock Lake, tubing! They LOVED it.
I took the liberty of editing this short video clip that Paul took of the girls during one of their turns on the lake.
Katie won this bear playing Bingo. Uncle Tony very nearly won the "Stinko Bingo" round. He was the 3rd place person. So close! The prize for that round was soap..............
During our stroll (in 98 degree weather, during the heat of the day, I might add) to the Devil's Pool to take photos, the girls spotted this guy--a jumping spider. While looking at the photo, Paul noted that if you zoom in on his eyes, you can see my reflection as I was taking his picture. Eeekkk! It was true. And kind of creepy!
As was the case in 2012, we traveled to Big Cedar with my brother and his family. This year, we also had 2 other families join us, the Fells and the Ballards. The Fells were on the go too much for me to get a photo of them, but here are the Ballards.............
I did manage to get a photo of ALL the kids. This was taken during campfire smores and just before the movie at the swimming pool. Paul and I were the babysitters that night and was it ever a challenge!
And here are the same group of kids, in all their glory!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention how HOT it was that week? Well, it was. The kids lived in the swimming pools, going to 2 or 3 different ones during each day. They slept really good at night.........
The highlight of the trip for me was taking photos of Katie and Mackenzie.............
And the boys...............
And their friends.................I wish that I could've gotten some photos of little Miss Fell, she is adorable, as you can see in the smores photo. I will have to get on her calendar yet this summer for a photo shoot.
On the way home, Tony suggested that we stop for some famous "Foot High Pie" at the Blue Springs Café. You can see the pies in the background. So we did. However, I managed to grab the address for the Mineral Springs Café which also serves "Foot High Pie". Meanwhile Tony and the rest of the crew were at Blue Springs. Oops. In the end, they found us and we all shared a final meal together for this years vacation. The pie was AMAZING.
The girls were exhausted from the week's activities............if you couldn't tell from this photo of them in the backseat.
Until next time..............good bye Big Cedar Lodge.................
