Second Week of Summer Vacation

At the end of last week, Katie had a surprise visit from her Kindergarten BFF, Sutton.  Despite that Sutton has sadly moved away and attended first grade elsewhere, the two frolicked the entire day as though they had never been separated.

The girls dove into my totes of photo props with the enthusiasm of puppies and spent most of the day changing in and out of various costumes.  A mini Mad Hatter's Tea Party was on the agenda, and Katie insisted on being the white rabbit.

A close up of our scrumptious tea.

My friend, Christy, joined us in the afternoon.  She bought along Sophia, her toddler aged great-niece, who was much enamored of the big girls and their escapades.  Christy took these photos of Katie and Sutton, sliding on the newly installed waterslide.  Sophia tried the waterslide one time and decided that was enough for her.  She was content to watch the girls instead.

Looks like the water was a bit cold for Sutton's taste!

Neither girl wanted the day to end.  Much fun was had by all.

  1. There is no doubt these girls had fun! The photos in the trellis and close up of the tea party are my favorites.
