Soccer!

I recently spent a Saturday morning in dear old Bethel township, watching my nephews play soccer.  Being at the Palmer field brought back lots of memories of my own school days.  While we didn't have soccer teams then, we did use Palmer field for the Varsity baseball team.  I can still remember (well, it was a long time ago.............) watching the guys play when my own softball team would finish.

Here are both of the boys in their soccer regalia............

They look TOTALLY serious, do they not?

Zach looks amused.  Or perhaps practicing for his cover on GQ.

Evan isn't the least afraid of getting right into the thick of things.

Both of my nephews have come a long way from the days of simply wandering around the soccer field looking for bugs and other interesting things, during the game.  Concentration is the name of the game.  Although they did seem to be keenly aware that Aunt Jackie, or rather Aunt Jackie's camera, was watching them.

They are both really strong kickers.

And aren't afraid to run down the ball.  Or anyone who gets in the way.

It was nice to see that the tradition of saying "Good game" to your opponents is still alive and well.

Strong work boys!  Your Aunt Jackie is proud of your soccer skills.
